Gala 2020
Join us on February 1st, 2020 for IACT’s 8th annual India Republic Day Gala—an annual celebration filled with distinguished speakers, stunning cultural performances, amazing food, and great company
We’ll spend the evening honoring the impact Indian Americans have had on the Austin community and giving attendees the chance to meet elected and appointed officials, all while celebrating India’s Republic Day and democracy itself.
This year’s event will feature Aarti Shahani, an Indian American NPR correspondent and author of Here We Are: American Dreams, American Nightmares as our keynote speaker. Comedian Rajiv Satyal will serve as emcee and inject his special brand of humor to the festivities.

We’ll also celebrate our accomplishments over the past year as we’ve worked to drive greater civic and political engagement among the Indian American community, and kickoff the year ahead—one that is particularly important with a presidential election and the US Census taking place.
